Bradford Allen Cothran, age 58, after a long hospital stay went to be with the Lord, June 14, 2013, and join those who preceded him.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Tonya Mantlo Cothran; mother, Helen Harrington Cothran; children, Richard Williams (Amy) of Alachua, Fla., Ginger Barber (Christopher) of Alachua, and Christina Cothran of Alachua; brother, Michael Cothran (Deborah) of Gainesville, Fla.; sisters Lorri Smith of Alachua and Diane Davis Kuhl of Illinois; grandchildren, Kaila and Kaiden Williams, Landen Barber and Alayna Cothran; several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, A.D. Cothran and brother, Gregg Davis of Alachua.

Brad was a longtime resident of Alachua County. He had worked as a foreman at Hunter Marine in Alachua for 23 years. In 2004, he went to work for Monterey Boats in Williston, Fla., and worked as a foreman also for four years. When not working, Brad loved Gator football and fishing. He was usually found doing one of the two during his pastimes. Brad will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a wonderful personality who could find a friend in anyone.
