Shawn Lemar Parnell, 41, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his residence in High Springs, Fla. He was the first born son of Diane Parnell House and the late William Cottrell, on February 15, 1972 in Heidleberg, Germany. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School class of 1990.
Mr. Parnell is survived his mother, Diane Lynn House of High Springs; son, Shawn Parnell, Jr.; sisters, Anita (Steve) Kelly, Apral (George) White, Lesean Stokes and Shannon Maffett; brother, Christopher Cottrell; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, July 12 from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. at A. Jerome Brown Funeral Home, 1560 N.W 1st Ave., High Springs. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 712 S.W. Bethlehem Ave., Fort White, Pastor Clarence Desue, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
